Halloween Outreach 2013 ~ Trunk or Treat!

Our Halloween Outreach was a huge success thanks to all our awesome volunteers and their families that came out to help serve the mothers and children at the Nashville Rescue Mission.
This year we set up a Trunk or Treat in the parking lot of the mission.
New costumes were donated to the children which allowed them to get all dressed up for a fun time of fellowship and trunk or treating for the afternoon with our volunteers.

We had many families come out to serve with their children. We love opportunities for families to serve together with their children locally.

We are so proud of Jenene and her husband, pictured below! We met her several years ago while she, herself, was living at the mission as a teenager with her mother and siblings. She is now a young mother and wife who has risen above her circumstances and now comes alongside us to help give back to the children that are in the same situation that she was once in.

One of our little Ethiopian adoptee volunteer world changers serving with his family!

Big Thanks to News Channel 17 anchor, Stacy Case, for bringing out the awesome Brownie Troop 1318 from Crockett Elementary to volunteer for the day.

Some of our adorable little's that we enjoyed spending time with and who loved dressing up in their new costumes.

BIG THANK YOU to these two! Melissa and Meg organized this outreach and we couldn't have done it without them! Thank you Melissa and Meg! You did an amazing job!

Thank you, Stacy Case, for always bringing your family to serve with OH at the mission!

We love our volunteers!!

We also love seeing so many of our adoptive families coming out to serve together, grandparents included.

Our event was filled with fun like face painting, balloon making, costume dress up, bounce house, games, snacks, and of course the trunk or treat with all it's candy.

Many thanks to all who brought their cool trunks and their crafts and their love to pour out to the children that reside at the mission. Your hearts to show them the love of God made their day happier and their hope shine brighter. Much thanks to all the Ordinary Heroes! We are thankful for you.
