Headed to Lansdowne, Va Today For Movie Screening

I have been invited by Prison Fellowship to sit on the panel of a movie screening. This is a new movie screening for the film Loving the Bad Man. The movie tells the story of a young Christian woman who is raped but goes on to forgive her attacker. The overarching themes of the movie are forgiveness and reconciliation. The movie is produced by Eastlake Films and is produced by Family Net TV show host Kevin McCullough and actor Stephen Baldwin. Stephen also has a role in the movie. I will be sitting on the panel open for questions after the movie, alongside other panel participants, Kevin McCullough, Stephen Baldwin, Mark Early, Prison Fellowship vice chairman and Tom Connigliaro, who is the film's executive producer.

They had seen my story on the 700 club and wanted a real life example of what the movie is based around. Some of you may know my story and some of you may not. But forgiveness is the name of the game. It is what has set me free to be able to give back just a portion of what God has given me. We all have a story to tell. We all have choices to make. At some point in our lives we all have to choose forgiveness for one reason or another. It is never in order to say what has happened is ok. It is for us to be set free from it in order to move forward in what God has called us to do. We choose to become better and not bitter....stronger because of the things we have had to walk through. God will use your life walk to be a blessing to others no matter how ugly it may look at times.

I am honored to be able to share my story and pray that it brings much hope to others who have faced similar circumstances. If you have ever wondered why I have a passion for helping children in need.....well.....it's because God had a passion for helping me.

If you are in the Lansdowne area, come on out tonight :)

  3. Thank you for your willingness to share your life story with everyone. Forgiveness is such a powerful thing!!! We owe it all to our Savior who forgave us of all our sin. Yet, it is NOT easy. My mom was raped when she was a teenager and the pain of that still can affect her even as she has forgiven the man who did it.

I hope you can help promote the message of this movie. I saw this movie trailer at the Winter Jam 2011 concert hosted by Newsong and our adoption agency Holt International. I hope it is a great success and brings people to the healing only Jesus can give. Thank you again!

I love following your blog and how much you promote adoption. We look forward to meeting our own daughter soon.
