Ordinary Hero Blog: Ethiopia 2012, MEET TEAM 3 !!

Just as fast as Team 2 can leave, HERE COMES TEAM 3!

I (Kelly) look forward to July every year when I get to lead a team of awesome world changers over to Ethiopia to get their world's rocked!

Each year our team members come from all over the US to join together in an effort to

CHANGE THE WORLD FOR ONE in Ethiopia!

Team 3 will be my largest team, yet, with a total of 32 team members!!

Most of us met up and flew out together in DC, with the exception of a few who are meeting us in ET!

IT IS MY PRIVILEGE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO ETHIOPIA 2012, TEAM 3!!

Alex from TN
Alex just graduated and will be attending college in the fall.

Ali from Ky

Ali was on an OH team last summer!

Allie Beth from TN

This is Allie's first over seas trip. She is 15.

Christian from TN

Christian will be a sophomore in college in the fall. This is his second year in a row to ET with OH.

Deborah from Utah

Deborah was also on our team trip to Ethiopia last summer as well as in October. She helps OH with sponsorships!

Kenya, Deborah's daughter, from Utah

Kenya is back for a second year in a row! Kenya is 14.

Bink from TN

This is Bink's first time to Africa. He just graduated from Highschool and will be heading to college in the fall.

Kortnie from TN

Kortnie is an elementary school teacher and is joining us for the second year in a row to Ethiopia.

Lincoln from TN

Lincoln has been in Ethiopia for the past month helping with Team 1 and 2 and will now conclude his trip with Team 3.

Todd from Utah

This is Todd's first trip to Ethiopia. Todd is Kenya's cousin. Todd is a Highschool student.

Tabitha from Ky!

This is Tabitha's first trip to Africa. She and I graduated from Highschool together.

Sarah from Pennsylvania!

This is Sarah's first trip to Africa. She is friends with Carlos and Amanda.

Erin and Grace from Oregon!

This is a mother/daughter team! Their family has adopted from Ethiopia. This is their first OH trip.

This is Kelly's first trip to Africa!

Allie Kate from TN

This is Allie's first trip to Africa. Allie is 16.

Ryan from TN

Ryan is a 20 year old in college and friends with Lauren. This is his first overseas trip to Africa.

Courtney (Coco) from TN

This is Coco's first trip to Africa! She is 16.

Carlos and Amanda from Pennsylvania!

This is their first trip to Africa. They are one of our couples on the team.

Hugo from Pennsylvania!

Hugo is Carlos's brother and this is his first time to Africa!

Crystal and her daughter, Jasmine, from TN

This is another mother/daughter team. Their family adopted last year from Ethiopia.

My daughter, Lauren, from TN!

Lauren has been on the ground in Ethiopia for the past month helping with Team 1 and 2 and will head over to South Africa soon to study abroad.

Ryan from TN!

Ryan is our videographer for the trip and will be joining us mid trip to capture Team 3 and Team 4.

This will be his first trip to Ethiopia.

Tayler from Colorado!

Tayler is a college student in TN and friends with Lauren! This is her first trip to Africa!

Libby from Indiana!

This is Libby's first trip to Africa. She was led to OH after watching Lucy Lane's Gotcha Day video.

Porter from Utah!

This is Porter's first trip to Africa. Porter is 17!

Joel and Kim from Connecticut!

This is their first OH trip to Ethiopia. They are fairly newlyweds and one of our couples on the team!

My son, Collin, from TN!

Collin is 16 and this is his 2nd OH trip to ET! He was on our very first OH Team in 2010.

Then there is me, Kelly!

I'm the crazy mom of 6 leading this large team!

We have such a great team filled with many High School, College, young marrieds, singles, and some of us who have been married a while :-) I think we are covering it all on this trip! It has a great dynamic and we are off to CHANGE THE WORLD FOR ONE...OR MORE!

Our travels have begun!

Several of us from the TN, Ky area had to head out to Washington early to catch the ET flight the next day. Here we are at dinner celebrating Ali's birthday on the 4th of July!
